AMMAN — A
member of the Al-Atta bloc Yasser Mahmoud Abu Sheikha said that the money
exchange sector plays a major role in the development of the commercial process
in the Kingdom, Khaberni reported.

He attributed his
reasoning to the role of incoming and outgoing remittances, finding a moderate
price, and feeding the balance of payments from the hard currency.
Abu Sheikha said
that the role of the
Central Bank of Jordan is to regulate the money exchange sector through working together to
issue the instructions regulating the work, in addition to its role in
supporting the digital transformation of the sector.
He also pointed to
the role of the
Jordanian Money Exchange Association in supporting the work of
money exchangers in the Kingdom at all levels.
He referred to the
great technical development witnessed by the money exchange sector in the
Kingdom by providing e-platforms for transferring and receiving money.
Al-Ataa bloc is
running the Amman Chamber of Commerce elections headed by Asaad Mohammad
Al-Qawasmeh, and the membership of Maher Mohammad Youssef, Yasser Mahmoud Abu
Sheikha, Atef Ahmed Hassouna, Hisham Hani Al-Hadid, Tayseer Mowaffaq
Al-Khodari, Maher Omar Al-Taweel, Odeh Saeed Al-Ramahi, and Ahmed Khalil
Alloush.
