AMMAN —
Traffic Department Director Firas Al-Saoub said the number traffic detectives
in civilian uniforms will be increased to uncover serious violations which his
cadres cannot discover while in uniform, Khaberni News reported.
Saoub said for violators who cross a red traffic light,
a penalty of 4 points will be registered. If the total points reach 16, the
license will be suspended for two months. If the points reach 20 to 24, the license
will be suspended for 4 months, and if the points exceed 28, a suspension of 8
months will be activated.
