AMMAN —
The Mujib Biosphere reserve has received
some 5,000 visitors during May and June, a large ratio of which were foreign
tourists, director general of the reserve, Hashem Al-Dheisat, said last week.

According to Dheisat, tourism activity at the Wadi Al-Mujib
reserve in the Dead Sea area has begun recovering and returning to pre-pandemic
levels.
The reserve is one of the largest listed as a
UNESCO
biosphere reserve, as it is the lowest on earth and the biodiverse.
