AMMAN — Within the
last 24 hours, a total of eight individuals were involved in separate traffic
accidents, resulting in one fatality and several injuries, as reported by the
daily traffic update.

On Tuesday, an officer from the
Central Traffic Management Operations Room at the
General Security Directorate provided
insight into the incidents. A collision occurred between two vehicles along the
60th Street in Irbid Governorate, on route to the Jordan Valley, Amman Net
reported. A man in his forties
lost his life in the accident, and five other
individuals sustained injuries. Swift response teams were deployed, evacuating
the
deceased and transporting the injured to medical facilities for immediate
attention. The accident's root cause was identified as an abrupt lane change
executed by one of the drivers.
On early Tuesday morning, the operations room
received a report of a pedestrian being struck outside a complex adjacent to
the station, near the Raghadan Tourist Complex in Amman. The pedestrian was
promptly provided with medical aid, and the ensuing
traffic disruption was
effectively managed. Additionally, a 13-year-old boy suffered grave injuries
after being hit by a vehicle at a traffic signal in Irbid Governorate.
The officer highlighted yet another pedestrian
accident that transpired the previous day. At the entrance of the
Al-Waha Roundabout tunnel, while heading towards University Street, an individual was
struck, resulting in severe injuries. Similar to previous incidents, negligence
in adhering to necessary traffic precautions by drivers was identified as the
underlying cause.
