NAF stops aid to over 700 families, covers over 500 new families

AMMAN — Five hundred and twenty new families were granted in March monthly financial aid from the National Aid Fund, according to Al-Ghad News. According to the fund’s report for the month of March, the monthly aid was stopped for 720 families and was decreased for 32 families, while 10,134 families affiliated with the program were surveyed. The report indicated that 1,257 new families benefited from the “regular and immediate” emergency financial aid program, 100 new families benefited from the physical rehabilitation program, and 30 people benefited from the vocational training support program for children of beneficiary families. The report indicated that cash transfer by mail was sent through an ATM card to 74,168 families, and the fund Support Center received 70,975 calls related to complaints or inquiries; the number of closed cases reached 33,899.
