AMMAN — The
National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and the Amman branch of the Information
Systems Audit and Control Association (NCSC) signed a memorandum of
understanding Sunday to boost cooperation and exchange of expertise in cyber
security, according to the Jordan News Agency Petra.

The deal was inked by the NCSC’s Director Bassam
Maharmeh, and Vice President of ISACA’s Amman Chapter Tamer Al-Ajrami, NCSC
said in a statement.
Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in
the fields of joint interest, such as research, consultation, technical
training, cyber security national contests, and designing capacity-building
programs in cooperation with private sector partners and technology providers.
The agreement also stipulates collaboration in
information and data exchange helpful in conducting cyber security research,
organizing conferences and workshops locally and internationally, and creating
Arab educational content on information security in coordination with several
entities.
NCSC aims to build an effective cyber security
system to defend the Kingdom from threats. ISACA is an international
professional association focused on information technology governance.
