Shop When Hungry.”

This campaign aims to address the tendency of
consumers to overspend when purchasing goods and necessities while experiencing
hunger, as highlighted by various studies, Khaberni reported.
NSCP President Mohammad Obeidat emphasized
that the campaign seeks to guide citizens' purchasing and
consumption habits away from extravagance. This initiative aims to reduce their financial losses,
particularly amid challenging economic conditions.
Obeidat further explained that the Ramadan
plan includes a focus on monitoring markets. This involves tracking an index of
prices for goods commonly used by citizens during the holy month to ensure the
availability of these items in markets in
sufficient quantities, at moderate
prices, and with high quality.
The NSCP president urged citizens to carefully
assess the suitability of goods for use and consumption. He also encouraged
them to pay attention to the accuracy of weights when making purchases. Obeidat
confirmed that the society will continue to receive complaints and observations
from citizens. Additionally, they will follow up with relevant authorities to
address any issues raised during the campaign.
