AMMAN — The
Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) arrested four alleged dealers and seized large quantities of drugs in
raids carried out in Amman and Mafraq, said the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In the capital, officers apprehended two alleged dealers
in separate raids, seizing 24 blocks of Hashish, 2,900 Captagon pills, 650
illegal medicinal products, 40 grams of cocaine and crystal meth, as well as
one firearm, Petra said, quoting an unnamed Public Security Department
spokesperson.
Northwest of Amman in
Balqa governorate, AND officers raided two locations after being tipped that an
individual was allegedly growing cannabis plants, the spokesperson said.
The fourth alleged trafficker was arrested in his Mafraq
home, where about 10,000 narcotic pills were hidden in the backyard.
Police will continue cracking down on drug traffickers,
utilizing all available intelligence, operational and logistical capabilities,
the spokesperson asserted.
