The program is implemented through an agreement signed between the Arab Society for Awareness of Drugs and Dangerous Drugs, and the We Are All Jordan Youth Authority, which is the youth arm of King Abdullah II Fund for Development. The agreement aims at qualifying a group of young people to become peer educators in drug awareness in various governorates and districts across the Kingdom.

The program targets about 1,500 young men and women who will be educated on how drug abuse is related to committing crimes, how to identify the characteristics of an addicted person, the psychological, social and economic effects of drug abuse, and the role of the media in limiting the spread of drug substances.

The event brings together specialists from the Arab Association and about 40 youth volunteers from the We Are All Jordan Youth Commission. The rest of the sessions will start this month in southern Amman, including Balqa, Karak, Aqaba, Jerash and Ajloun.
