In honor of International Women's Day, which is March 8, the SSC emphasized its commitment to giving significant support and attention to women, assuring the continuation of their work, and encouraging their engagement in economic activities. This dedication is demonstrated by providing a safe and welcoming work environment for women and protecting their full labor rights, including access to social security, to reduce the danger of poverty and encourage their participation in the development process alongside men.

Furthermore, 52,098 women beneficiaries receive pension wages, and 125,099 heirs are entitled to a share of various kinds of pensions.

The SSC praised Jordanian women's significant contributions and achievements in various fields, emphasizing the importance of social security in protecting and economically strengthening female workers. It underlined its call for female workers to inquire about their social security entitlements when they enter the labor force, emphasizing inclusion under the social security umbrella based on actual pay and total work periods.

Furthermore, the SSC noted key milestones in maternity insurance, including 104,067 disbursements of maternity insurance allowance since its beginning on September 1, 2011. Notably, 73,319 insured women have benefited cumulatively, with a total disbursement of about JD114.356 million.

According to the statement, amendments to the social security law have strengthened social protection for women in the private sector by broadening eligibility conditions for maternity leave allowance, consequently improving the welfare of working moms.

Furthermore, the SSC emphasized the strong social protection system that underpins maternity insurance, with 20,159 insured women already receiving newborn care allowances. This includes 18,434 beneficiaries of home care allowances and 2,121 users of care allowances through nurseries, totaling more than JD3.170 million in expenses.

The corporation emphasized its unwavering commitment to combatting insurance avoidance and raising awareness of social protection among female workers in all economic sectors. The SSC is committed to enhancing the welfare and empowerment of Jordanian women by assuring the continuation of their work and increasing their economic engagement.
