The Director-General of JSMO, Abeer Al-Zuhair, announced that the online platform enables importers to register their information and vehicle details electronically. Importers can also monitor the progress of their applications, which includes document review, inspections at certified centers, and the final decision regarding vehicle approval.
This step comes as part of broader efforts to streamline procedures for vehicles stored in the free zone or bonded warehouses, in line with a Cabinet decision to reduce taxes on electric vehicles. According to Al-Zuhair, automating this process will enhance efficiency, reduce processing time, and alleviate burdens on both importers and employees.
Al-Zuhair highlighted that the service improves transparency by allowing users to track their requests and generate accurate reports. The platform’s 24/7 availability ensures easy access for importers and stakeholders.
The JSMO’s ongoing efforts to facilitate procedures across various sectors reflect its commitment to delivering high-quality services. The organization remains focused on enforcing technical regulations, standards, and governing legislation for all products and services.
