AMMAN — Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has
announced the opening of a new direct route by Royal Jordanian Airlines between
Amman, and the German city of Dusseldorf. The airline will operate this route
with two weekly flights on Saturdays and Wednesdays using its aircraft.

The inaugural flight was welcomed on Saturday with the
traditional water arch salute, attended by representatives from the
International Airports Group and Royal Jordanian Airlines, Hala News reported.
Gateway to the levant
Karim Mekhlouf, chief commercial officer of Royal Jordanian,
said, "I am delighted to announce the opening of our new route to
Dusseldorf in Germany, which will make it easier for tourists coming from
Germany to discover the incredible wonders of Jordan. Our focus on enhancing
tourism in the kingdom and driving it forward is the primary focus of our new
strategy, with a continued commitment to developing Amman as the main gateway
to the Levant through expanding our global network. This new route is another
step in line with Royal Jordanian's ambitious five-year growth plan, which
includes increasing our current fleet of 24 aircraft to more than 40 aircraft
over the next three to five years."
