AMMAN — The inauguration event of the International
Academy of Public Health (I
APH) was officially inaugurated as an accredited
academy, according to a press statement the academy issued on Tuesday.

The IAPH offers diverse fields of study, programs, and
courses ranging from long-term, mid and short-term trainings in numerous areas
of public health to build the capacity of the public health workforce in the
Eastern Mediterranean Region (
EMR) and consequently contribute to the
development of public health services. The IAPH has an advisory board and a
scientific council whose members are notable public health figures from across
the EMR.
An official event took place in Amman on Tuesday to
celebrate this inauguration, which was held under the patronage of former
minister of health Yaseen Al-Hussban, and attended by representatives of
national, regional, and international public health entities, among others.
The IAPH’s representatives focused on explaining the means
it seeks to achieve its goal of designing and delivering quality postgraduate
educational and training programs on different public health subject matters to
fill existing and emerging regional gaps.
