AMMAN — The spokesperson for the
Greater Amman Municipality, Nasser Al-Rahamneh, confirmed
that there is a plan to install new road cameras in various areas of the
capital city of Amman.

He said that these cameras can monitor violations that
affect public safety, including running
red lights, speeding, using mobile
phones while driving, improper parking, and taking the wrong lane, all of which
negatively impact traffic flow, Ammon News reported.
Rahamneh stated in a press release that these cameras aim to
enhance safety and traffic flow by monitoring traffic conditions. They will
provide necessary information to road users and supply the Municipality with
statistical data for studying traffic solutions.
