AMMAN — Minister of Water and Irrigation, Mohammad Najjar,
conducted a site visit on Tuesday to assess the ongoing project of the Water Authority. The project involves drilling 12 wells in the Jordan Valley, with
the goal of providing an additional 4 million cubic meters of water during the
summer season.
During a visit to the site, he said that the drawn water, which
will be pumped through King Abdullah canal, is for drinking purposes and will
be distributed across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
Currently, the construction of one well has been finished
and is now pumping 100 cubic meters per hour, according to Najjar.
