During a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Khasawneh stated that Israel restricts access to humanitarian aid and services, and that aid reaching Gaza only meets 10 percent of the sector's needs. He stated that partial solutions regarding the situation in Gaza will not succeed.

Khasawneh reiterated that comprehensive peace is a strategic choice for Jordan, but achieving it requires serious partners.

Furthermore, Khasawneh highlighted the mass evacuations occurring in Gaza, as well as escalated attacks against Palestinians by settlers in the West Bank.

He also stressed that after October 7, it is difficult for any Jordanian to agree to regional projects with Israel.
