The comment
was made by
Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, a secretary-general for Education Affairs at the
Ministry of Education. He asserted that the Tawjihi exam and its study plan
will remain the same, at least for the time being.
Ajarmeh said that any changes related to Tawjihi
will not likely come before the 2023–24 academic year.
He said he asked the ministry for approval to add
geology to other subjects taught in schools at the Tawjihi level.
He said ministry is currently verifying entries for
the Tawjihi exam papers, a process which also entails passing the papers
through a scanner to ensure the accuracy of grading for students.
Ajarmeh maintained that the announcement date for
the Tawjihi results will be revealed within the next 10 days, and the actual
release date of the results is expected to be no later than August 20.
