The Ministry of Education Council formed this
committee, which combines experts and specialists in educational affairs, with
the aim of conducting the Tawjihi exams based on scientific studies.
Minister of Education Wajih Al-Owais recently
confirmed that the committee did not submit a report to the ministry regarding
the improvement of the Tawjihi exams.
He said that no changes will be made in the
examination in the upcoming years since the committee said any amendment
requires around seven years to go into effect.
Ministry of Education spokesman Ahmad Al-Masafah
said that the committee recently submitted several proposals concerning the
development of curricula and the Tawjihi exams, and that the ministry will
study them and announce the results in the near future.
The committee confirmed that the recommendations and
proposals concerning the exam are not binding on the Education Ministry unless
approved by the Education Council.
