AMMAN —
There are no indications of a threat or risk to the programs provided through
the UNHCR and its partners, nor will there be a reduction in humanitarian
services or assistance provided by the organization to refugees in the Kingdom,
according to UNHCR spokesperson Meshal
El-Fayez, Al-Mamlaka TV.

Fayez added that so far in 2022, the UNHCR received
29 percent of the funding needed to continue the services provided to refugees
in Jordan.
The Jordan Response Plan to the Syrian crisis
required $2.28 billion for 2022, of which, in the first half of this year, only
$235 million, or some 10.3 percent, was received, according to the Ministry of
Planning and International Cooperation.
Fayez said that certain donor countries give grants
and funding at intervals during the year. Some have already honored their
pledges for September–December
2022, which is an indication that donors are committed to provide the funding
within months.
