AMMAN — Head of the
Civil Service Bureau Sameh
Al-Nasser stressed that there is no unemployment among holders of technical
diplomas, be they comprehensive (shamel) diplomas or less, indicating that
there is a great demand for these specialties in the private sector, according
to Jo24.

He said that
specialties related to alternative and renewable energy, as well as the
maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles only need a diploma, and then
graduates can enter the labor market.
Nasser said that
holders of comprehensive diplomas can complete their studies through bridging
programs in public and private universities, and obtain a bachelor’s degree if
they so desire.
“It is
unreasonable for guest workers to work in professions that Jordanian youths can
perform, and I believe that the trend toward professional and technical work is
the future,” he said.
Nasser indicated
that universities and private colleges intend to start new programs, and expand
existing programs to qualify graduates for the job market.
