AMMAN —
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), no heat wave is
forecast for the Eid holiday, when normal summer weather is expected to
prevail.

Temperatures will
be around their normal average for this time of the year, with highs in Amman
expected to be between 31–33°C.
On the hilltops of
Jerash, Ajloun, Salt, Tafileh, and Shobak, temperatures will range between
29–31°C, dipping to 16–18°C at night.
The port city of
Aqaba, the Jordan Valley, and the Dead Sea will register temperatures of
40–41°C during day time, and moderate temperatures at night.
The JMD advised the public
to avoid direct exposure to sunlight in the afternoon in the Aqaba, Jordan
Valley and Dead Sea areas.
