AMMAN — Hundreds of nurses
across the Kingdom participated in an hour-long sit-in at their workplaces,
rejecting the current allowance and demanding that it be raised by 35 percent,
according to Khaberni.

The sit-in, called by
Jordan Nurses and Midwives Council (JNMC), came after the
Ministry of Health had “shut the
door of negotiations over the overtime allowance”, said the council, which accused
the concerned authorities and decision-makers of ignoring the nurses and not
appreciating their efforts.
The council also said that it will
continue taking other measures until their demand is fulfilled.
