In a statement issued Sunday, Hneifat highlighted that olive oil sales reached approximately 189 tons, with most bottles classified as extra virgin and virgin. Visitors utilized around 25,000 electronic quality tests during the event through mobile applications.
The festival hosted 1,050 participants and exhibitors, primarily women supporting their families. The General Syndicate of Olive Press Owners facilitated the availability of olive oil at the venue, ensuring the needs of attendees were met.
Hneifat noted that visitors and participants contributed in-kind and monetary donations for Gaza families through partnerships with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and the Jordanian Association for Medical Aid to Palestinians.
Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the festival brought together local and international partners. Several initiatives under the Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator were showcased, along with development partners’ pavilions designed to connect small-scale farmers, emerging agricultural businesses, and funding entities. The event also integrated digital payment and online marketing solutions in collaboration with Jordan Post.
Educational sessions were conducted throughout the 10-day event, covering topics such as best practices in olive farming, oil testing methods, and success stories of participants who created employment opportunities. More than 1,000 students from universities including Mutah, Jordan, Hashemite, and Yarmouk attended these sessions. Additionally, internationally certified training courses on export practices targeted beekeepers, date farmers, olive press operators, and Ministry of Agriculture staff.
The festival incorporated advanced technologies, including electronic tracking systems for olive oil and honey developed in collaboration with the Jordanian Beekeepers Association, and crowd management tools provided by Sila Smart Solutions. A dedicated pavilion for dates was also established in partnership with the Jordan Dates Association.
A Bee Museum highlighted innovative beekeeping practices and equipment, offering awards to raise awareness of the sector’s importance. The Ministry of Labor and the Vocational Training Corporation supported the event through the National Employment Program and the "Ardi" project, which aim to enhance job skills and support businesses with updated trade licenses and registrations.
To accommodate growing attendance, festival organizers increased parking capacity to 1,000 vehicles, up from 700, in cooperation with Mecca Mall’s exhibition facilities.
In his closing remarks, Hneifat expressed gratitude to local and international partners, public and private institutions, and Ministry of Agriculture staff for their role in the festival’s success.
