AMMAN —
Ministry of Agriculture
spokesperson Lawrence Al-Majali said on Monday that Jordanian olive oil may be
exported, considering the larger-than-expected quantity this season, according
to Ammon News.

Majali added that olive oil production is expected to be
2,000 to 4,000 tonnes more than that of last year.
He said that this year’s olive oil is of good quality,
and that no counterfeit olive oil has been found so far by those involved in
the annual campaign to monitor the quality of olive oil.
He stressed that no import of olive oil is permitted at
all.
