On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II sponsored on Wednesday, the closing ceremony of the 32nd edition of the Hashemite Local and International Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition for males, organized by the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places at the King Hussein bin Talal Mosque.اضافة اعلان

In his speech, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh stated that the competition is one of the first global competitions for Quran memorization and is continuously supported by His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, reflecting the Hashemites’ commitment to caring for the Quran, both in memorization and recitation.

He explained that the competition, held annually, has graduated many Quran memorizers, with approximately 33,000 participants since its inception in 1993.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince handed out certificates of appreciation to the winners, who numbered 35 in the local competition and 6 in the international competition, as well as to the nine members of the judging panel.

This year, 3,645 participants took part in the local competition, while 54 participants from 51 countries joined the international competition.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief Justice, His Eminence Dr. Abdul Hafez Al-Rabta, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassanat, and Imam of the Hashemite Shrine, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalaileh.
