AMMAN — Through the National Employment Program (NEP), launched by the government in April, 10,115 people were
gainfully employed, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.
The number of men beneficiaries reached 4,471 and of
women 5,644; moreover, 771 people benefited from the National Aid Fund (NAF),
388 men and 383 women, and that the national employment program listed 39,627
vacancies for various professions.
Some 702 companies signed employment agreements with
the Ministry of Labor, which helps connect job seekers, companies and factories
by registering them on the program’s platform.
NEP, “Tashgheel” provides 60,000 job opportunities for Jordanians in the
private sector, aims to create job opportunities, and trains workers.
The program trained a number of institutions and
employees from the ministries of labor, youth and local administration in all governorates
to assist companies and the youth search and applying for jobs.
The program targets 18 to 40 years old; of these 7 percent
benefited from the NAF program.
