AMMAN — The Customs Department, in collaboration with law
enforcement agencies, conducted intensive inspection patrols that covered
numerous commercial establishments selling smuggled goods in all forms.
Large quantities of untaxed tobacco, unlicensed shisha,
electronic cigarettes, and counterfeit juices were seized. Additionally, expired medicines, sexual stimulants, indecent materials, fireworks, and prohibited
items such as BB guns and others were confiscated, Jo24 News reported.
These intensive inspection patrols were conducted based on
intelligence information, close cooperation between customs and law enforcement agencies, and partnerships with citizens, who are considered a fundamental
pillar in the fight against smuggling.
