AMMAN — Airport International Group has announced that 7,575 Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) workers — 90 percent of whom
hold frontline positions — have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
The campaign was coupled with preventive measures amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, a
statement by the group said, “earning QAIA the Airports Council International
‘Airport Health Accreditation’ following the resumption of international
flights in September 2020.
The statement noted that the campaign was facilitated
by the government’s decision to prioritize the vaccination of airports workers.
