Amman – Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Wednesday met with Bader Mohammad Al-Saad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD). The meeting, attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, focused on reinforcing the longstanding partnership between Jordan and the Arab Fund.

Central to the discussion was the strategic alignment between Jordan's national priorities and the Arab Fund’s initiatives. The Prime Minister underscored the pivotal role of ongoing coordination and collaboration in achieving mutual objectives.
He highlighted Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, a cornerstone of King Abdullah II's comprehensive reform agenda, emphasizing its transformative impact across sectors including energy, water management, digital economy, and transportation.
Acknowledging Jordan’s enhanced global economic standing, Khasawneh referenced recent sovereign credit rating upgrades and successful milestones in the Extended Fund Facility program with the International Monetary Fund. These achievements reflect Jordan’s resilient economic policies amid regional and global challenges.
Al-Saad commended Jordan’s comprehensive reform efforts, noting significant political, economic, and administrative progress. He expressed the Arab Fund’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Jordan, emphasizing the country's efficient and organized approach in project implementation.
He affirmed the Arab Fund's readiness to support Jordan in new initiatives aligned with national priorities to bolster economic resilience and address current challenges. He also praised Jordan’s humanitarian role in hosting over 1.3 million Syrian refugees, highlighting the importance of international support in sustaining essential services.
