Prime Minister
Bisher Al-Khasawneh expressed his condolences and mourning for
the passing of former Prime Minister
Marouf Al-Bakhit, who passed away on
Saturday morning. Khasawneh also conveyed his sincere sympathy regarding
Bakhit's demise.

In
acknowledging Bakhit's passing, Khasawneh highlighted that Jordan has lost a
dedicated and sincere statesman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
Bakhit
served his country with unwavering loyalty, valiantly defending the nation's
positions and principles at both local and international levels.
Bakhit held
the position of Jordan's Prime Minister and
Minister of Defense twice, with his
first term spanning from 2005 to 2007 and the second in 2011.
Additionally,
he served in various important roles, including Director of His Majesty King
Abdullah’s office, Director of National Security, and as a Senate member on
multiple occasions.
Bakhit's
diplomatic contributions extended as he served as Jordan's Ambassador to Turkey
in 2002 and to Israel in 2005. His academic background, including a PhD in strategic
studies from the
University of London, and his exceptional efforts in various
fields earned him numerous local and international medals in recognition of his
outstanding contributions.
