Khasawneh explained
that the government initially allocated JD70 million to cover medical
exemptions, and later added another JD25 million, Khaberni reported.
"The criteria
(for exemptions) have not been changed, and they are managed according to the
database available to the Royal Hashemite Court," the Prime Minister said.
No cancelation of
exemptionsOn Monday, an official
source denied reports about the cancelation of medical exemptions granted to
citizens who are not covered by health insurance or the
Royal Medical Services.
The source told the
Jordan News Agency, Petra, that medical exemptions will continue to be provided
through the Royal Hashemite Court.
He said that
exemptions will continue to be granted as agreed upon by Parliament through the
Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, which will in turn submit them
to the
Royal Hashemite Court and then return them to the MPs.
