Amman - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Monday underscored His Majesty King Abdullah II's relentless diplomatic push for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the provision of comprehensive humanitarian aid, during a meeting with a delegation of U.S. Congressional aides.اضافة اعلان

Khasawneh highlighted King Abdullah's leadership in rallying international efforts to end the Israeli aggression, reiterating that the two-state solution is the only viable path to enduring peace and stability in the region.

In addressing regional security concerns, Khasawneh firmly stated that Jordan will not permit any breach of its airspace or any actions that threaten its national security, pledging to respond decisively to any such attempts.

Turning to bilateral relations, the Prime Minister praised the longstanding strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, which marks its 75th anniversary this year.

He expressed deep gratitude for U.S. support, noting the critical role that American aid plays in advancing Jordan’s economic and development goals.

Khasawneh also briefed the delegation on Jordan’s ambitious modernization agenda, driven by King Abdullah II’s vision for political, economic, and administrative reforms. He pointed to the upcoming parliamentary elections on September 10 as a key milestone in these reforms.

Emphasizing Jordan’s commitment to economic growth, Khasawneh outlined the country's Economic Modernization Vision, which aims to spur growth and create jobs within a clear timeline.

He stressed that Jordan's investment environment is strengthened by recent legislative reforms and a solid partnership with the private sector, designed to boost both local and foreign investments.

The United States Congressional aides commended Jordan’s pivotal role in the region, particularly under King Abdullah’s leadership in fostering peace and stability.

The meeting also featured a lively exchange, with Khasawneh fielding questions from the delegation on a range of local and regional issues. Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Nasser Shraideh and Planning Minister Zeina Touqan were also in attendance.
