PM Meets with Jordanian Press Association

Amman- Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan held discussions on Monday with the President of the Jordanian Press Association, Rakan Al-Saaideh, at the Prime Ministry.اضافة اعلان

The meeting is part of a broader initiative to engage with various professional associations and sectors.

The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to develop a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing the media sector’s role in national development.

He underscored the importance of supporting professional and objective media while fostering digital transformation to keep pace with global advancements. Constructive criticism that aligns with the public interest, he added, is welcomed by the government.

Hassan also reaffirmed the government’s commitment, as outlined in its royal directives, to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including the Press Association, to strengthen the sector and encourage innovation in media practices.

Al-Saaideh expressed his appreciation for the government’s outreach efforts, noting the importance of fostering partnerships with professional associations to address national challenges. He highlighted key issues facing the media sector, stressing the need to enhance the capabilities of institutional and professional media outlets to adapt to evolving demands.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Government Communication and government spokesperson Mohammad Al-Momani, Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Munim Al-Awdat, and Minister of Culture Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh.
