AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher
Al-Khasawneh recently launched a dialogue series titled "Visions of
Modernization: Youth as the Focus of Attention" and held the first session
at the University of Jordan, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

During the event, Khasawneh highlighted
important developments and initiatives concerning Jordanian youth, including
the upcoming parliamentary elections and plans for administrative reform.
Administrative reform and Civil Service
Bureau changesKhasawneh assured that the ongoing
administrative reform process would not infringe upon the rights of public
sector employees.
He announced that the Civil Service
Bureau would be concluded by the end of the year and the Civil Service
Commission would be established, with measures in place to increase competition
rates in the public sector over the next three years.
Constitutional amendments to empower
youth in decision-making positions
Recognizing the potential and
capabilities of Jordanian youth, Khasawneh stressed the significance of recent
constitutional and legislative amendments that have created opportunities for
young individuals to actively participate in decision-making processes.
These changes include reducing the candidacy
age for elections and setting quotas for youth representation in political
parties and leadership positions.
Youth encouraged to participate
politically and economically
Encouraging youth to engage in political
and economic spheres, Khasawneh emphasized the opportunity for their
participation in economic decision-making.
He urged young individuals to join
political parties and highlighted the effectiveness of party and election laws
in enabling youth to contribute to decision-making processes. Khasawneh also
acknowledged the need to bridge the gap between state institutions and the
youth by avoiding excessive promises and prioritizing fulfillment.
Breaking barriers and creating a
conducive environment for youth
Affirming the commitment of the Jordanian
state to support youth and overcome barriers in party work, Khasawneh
highlighted the importance of reference documents for the three reform tracks
launched at the beginning of Jordan's second centennial.
He acknowledged the challenges faced by
Jordan and its youth but expressed confidence in their abilities to overcome
difficulties and utilize untapped potential for the benefit of the nation.
1 million work opportunities project
explained
Addressing the details of the economic
modernization project, Khasawneh clarified that the proposed 1 million work
opportunities were not intended to be 100,000 job openings per year for 10
years but rather a total of 1 million jobs by the end of the 10-year period.
He emphasized that the project aimed to
generate these opportunities primarily through the participation of the private
and business sectors, with economic growth projections serving as the basis for
this initiative.
