AMMAN - Prime
Minister, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, issued Defense Order No. 34 of 2021, which
regulates individuals' entry to official institutions, and participation of
school students over 12 yrs-old in
extracurricular school activities.

Following is the full
text of Defense Order No. (34) of 2021, issued under the provisions of Defense
Law No. 13 of 1992.
Based on the
government’s role in reviewing procedures and measures taken during
implementation of the Defense Law to achieve the public interest and curb
spread of the
Covid-19 pandemic in the Kingdom, the PM decided to issue the
following defense order: First: 1- No person is allowed to enter any of
Jordan's ministries, government departments, or public institutions, unless
he/she has received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and has not missed
the appointment for the second jab, or obtained a negative
PCR test that is
valid for a 72- hour period.
2- Those who visit
hospitals and health centers are excluded from the provisions of paragraph (1)
of this clause.
Second: 1- Educational
institutions are required to prohibit any student's entry over 12yrs-old to
engage in any extracurricular school activities unless he/she is permitted to
do so in accordance with Sanad. app "green" status.
2- An educational
institution that violates provisions of paragraph (1) of this clause shall be
punished with a fine no less than JD1,000 and not exceeding JD3,000.
Third: No person is
allowed to enter building of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) or any
land or sea border crossings for purposes other than traveling abroad unless
he/she is permitted to do so in accordance with Sanad. app "green"
status.
Fourth: The provisions
of this defense order shall be effective as of 9/5/2021.
Fifth: The Prime
Minister may amend any of the provisions of this defense order in light of the
epidemiological situation by communiqués issued for this purpose.
