Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh on Thursday visited Lower House and met its Speaker MP Ahmed Safadi and members of its permanent office, and congratulated them for winning lawmakers' confidence, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Speaking at the meeting, Khasawneh affirmed the government's keenness to cooperate and work with Lower House within framework of "flexible" integration and separation of powers, which His Majesty King Abdullah II highlighted in his Speech from the Throne to serve the nation and citizens.
The PM also expressed pride in the achievements made in cooperation with Parliament, in terms of legislation related to political system modernization, and important laws regulating Jordan's investment environment, children’s rights and the medical council."
On future plans, Khasawneh said the government is in the process of implementing Jordan's comprehensive modernization project with its three political, economic and administrative tracks, which requires the "highest" levels of cooperation and coordination with the legislative authority to ensure success, in implementation of Royal visions.
The PM stressed the government's respect for the House's oversight and legislative role within the framework of the flexible separation of powers guaranteed by Jordan's Constitution.
"Important tasks have to be completed in the Parliament's current session to endorse legislation required to carry out the process of modernization and construction, as Jordan enters its bicentennial," he noted.
