PM urges a sufficient supply of essential commodities

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh Monday urged the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply to intensify monitoring and inspection campaigns to ensure sufficient and affordable supplies of essential food commodities in the local market.اضافة اعلان

He said that we should take necessary measures to check any violations of the law, directing authorities to step up daily inspection tours across the Kingdom for that purpose.

There is no reason for soaring commodity prices as the Kingdom has a sufficient, long-term strategic stock of such items, the Prime Minister said, noting that Defence Order No. 31 of 2021 sets a ceiling for the fares of imported goods.
