In a statement on Sunday, the spokesperson said the PSD
confirmed the two suspects’ possession of narcotics, and police patrols
arrested them in Mafraq governorate with 62 palm-sized hashish blocks hidden
inside a vehicle.
In another case, a special investigative team tracked
down a person wanted in drug trafficking cases, who was classified as “very
dangerous,” to determine his whereabouts.
The spokesperson noted the investigation team spotted the
location of the wanted person in Aqaba governorate, as a special security force
raided his place.
During the raid, the suspect and two other people, who
accompanied him, tried to escape, but were all arrested. Quantities of
narcotics prepared for sale were found, the official said.
