Speaking at the ceremony, Maaytah stressed the
importance of bolstering training facilities to provide an appropriate
environment for transferring expertise and offering security and police skills.
The newly-launched Leadership Academy represents a
"promising" training center and provides the necessary means and capabilities
that make it a "distinguished leading" institute at the regional and
international level, Maaytah said.
The academy's Inauguration comes within the
framework of PSD's modernization and development process in its various
formations and units, which would reflect "positively" on improving
efficiency of security operations and upgrading level of services provided to
citizens, Maaytah noted.
The next stage, he noted, will witness
"great" interest in building human capabilities to ensure
professionalism and competence in carrying out policing tasks and duties,
according to schemes and strategies that focus on training plans that simulate
police needs and specializations.
For her part, Brid expressed pride in the
"solid" cooperation relations between the two kingdom's police
apparatuses, especially in the field of training and expertise exchange,
stressing her country's keenness to benefit from and maintain this
collaboration to develop and modernize security services provided to the
community.
The academy's new headquarters house halls
equipped with modern training equipment to hold conferences and workshops
according to the highest standards, as well as administrative and office
facilities to serve educational and training activities, supplied with "advanced"
distance learning
technologies, said a PSD statement.
