five years old, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

Sartawi confirmed that the Sunday Cabinet
approval of the vehicle licensing system only applies to a particular class of
private and rental vehicles. This category includes those registered and
licensed between August 22, 1999, and June 15, 2005, as they are considered
“the most affected group by the increase in
licensing fees.”
He further clarified that the decision will
result in a reduction in the licensing fees for this
specific vehicle category.
This reduction aims to facilitate the licensing process for the owners of these
vehicles.
Sartawi emphasized that “there will be no
increase in any monetary value due to this decision,” and it will streamline
the licensing procedures for this group. Detailed information about the system
will be published once all constitutional stages are completed.
