AMMAN — Students from
Princess Sumaya University of Technology have won first and third place in the "Seeds for the Future
2021" competition organized by Huawei International, in collaboration with
the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Students from the university also won ninth place and tenth
place in the competition. In all, 50 students from eight local universities took
part in the competition that was supervised by Amar Odeh, a professor at the PSUT.
President of the university, Dr. Mashhur Al-Rifai,
congratulated the winners and their supervisors for this achievement, and
praised their efforts and enthusiasm towards developing their skills and
knowhow.
Rifai said that the university, under the guidance of Her
Highness Princess Sumaya Bint Al-Hassan, president of the board of trustees,
was sparing no effort to provide students with every opportunity to participate
in local and international competitions to prepare them for the job market.
The competition, conducted remotely, aimed to enhance and
develop the skills of participants in ICT, artificial intelligence and cloud
computing.
The competition is a program aimed at sharing knowledge and
promoting young Jordanian talent in the ICT sector and contributes to
developing the skills of workers in the field through cooperation with
international institutions and companies.
