The Palestine Parliamentary Committee reaffirmed that Jordanians stand behind the unwavering stances of His Majesty King Abdullah II, may God protect him.
اضافة اعلانDuring a meeting on Tuesday with the "Jordan Supports Palestine" initiative, Committee Chairman Suleiman Al-Saud emphasized that the King’s three no's are firm national principles that the committee fully supports. He also reaffirmed backing His Majesty’s stance in local, regional, and international forums.
Al-Saud pointed out that prior to the Gaza war, King Abdullah II repeatedly warned the international community about the consequences of failing to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
He stressed that Jordan firmly rejects any attempt to displace Palestinians from the West Bank or Gaza into Jordan, reaffirming that "Jordan is for Jordanians, and Palestine is for Palestinians." He also emphasized Jordan’s steadfast position, under the leadership of the King, in supporting a two-state solution based on the June 4, 1967 borders to achieve a just and comprehensive peace on Palestinian national soil.
Al-Saud further noted that Jordan faces immense pressure due to its firm political stance on the Palestinian cause and will never accept any attempt to undermine the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. He emphasized the historical and legal importance of these holy sites and categorically rejected any attempts at spatial or temporal division of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
For their part, members of the "Jordan Supports Palestine" initiative expressed their support for King Abdullah II’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza to Jordan.
They also reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s right to remain and live on their land, stressing the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship in preserving the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Additionally, they praised the role of the Jordanian Parliament and the Palestine Parliamentary Committee in supporting His Majesty’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause.
