In statements to the press on Wednesday, Ambassador Khairy highlighted that King Abdullah’s direct supervision of the convoy, which included 120 trucks carrying various forms of assistance to the Palestinian people, traveling from the Al-Ghabawi area toward Gaza through the King Hussein Bridge, exemplifies His Majesty’s firm and principled stance in support of the Palestinian people, their rights, and their cause.
This initiative underscores His Majesty's regional and international stature, as well as his unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause, especially in such difficult and dark times.
He praised the continuous Jordanian efforts, led by the King, government, and people, which have consistently supported the Palestinian people since the onset of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
These efforts have had a significant impact on various fields, including humanitarian, political, diplomatic, judicial, and legal arenas, particularly in international organizations such as the UN General Assembly, the UN Security Council, and the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
The ambassador also referenced the airlifts initiated by King Abdullah to deliver aid to the besieged Gaza Strip, with His Majesty, Crown Prince Hussein, and Princess Salma leading the Royal Jordanian Air Force planes to drop humanitarian aid to Gaza’s residents.
He emphasized that this royal initiative has set an example for other countries to follow the Kingdom’s path and royal example.
Ambassador Khairy noted that the Palestinian people, in all their sectors, deeply appreciate and value the ongoing royal generosity, as well as Jordan’s efforts to alleviate their suffering and lift the injustice they face. He also commended the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization for its significant role in delivering the aid to the Palestinian people.
The ambassador acknowledged the fierce political, diplomatic, judicial, and legal battles that Jordan has fought in defense of the Palestinian people, their rights, and their cause, highlighting the prominent role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, under Minister Ayman Safadi, in confronting Israeli policies and aggression on both the international and regional fronts.
Khairy concluded by reaffirming the unbreakable bond between the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples, emphasizing the enduring, strong, and historical brotherly relations between the two nations, which remain unwavering.
