Palestinian presidency: Israel's targeting of UNRWA aims to liquidate the refugee issue and the right of return.
Ramallah – The spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stated that the aim of the Israeli occupation government in officially notifying the United Nations about severing ties with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is to target and criminalize it in order to liquidate the refugee issue, erase the right of return, and obstruct its activities and role.اضافة اعلان

In a statement on Monday, he called on the world to take serious and tangible steps against Israel, which disregards all norms, treaties, international resolutions, and international humanitarian law, holding the occupation government fully responsible for the serious repercussions of this decision.

On another note, Abu Rudeineh condemned the attack by extremist settlers early today on the city of Al-Bireh, during which they burned around 20 Palestinian vehicles. He affirmed that these assaults and crimes by the terrorist settler militias are merely a result of the ongoing extermination war waged by the Israeli occupation state against the Palestinian people, their sanctities, and their properties, for which both the occupation government and the United States bear responsibility.

He called on the international community to pressure Israel to stop its actions and violations against our people and to adhere to all signed agreements.

He emphasized that the legitimization of colonial outposts in the West Bank and the push for plans to build new colonial units is part of the comprehensive war being waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities.
