In a meeting, Deputy Ghazi Al-Badawi, chairman of the
committee, underscored the alignment of this legislative action with the
Economic Modernization Vision (EMV). Badawi emphasized the pivotal role of the
transportation sector as the linchpin of Jordan’s economy, stressing the
imperative of strategic collaboration with investors to fortify the nation’s
air travel infrastructure.
Central to the discussions was the ambition to position QAIA
as a premier travel facilitator, offering world-class services to passengers. Badawi
articulated the necessity of a robust partnership between the Airport
International Group (AIG) and the Ministry of Transport to actualize this
vision.
These amendments, designed to enhance Jordan’s investment
climate and ensure operational stability in the aviation and air cargo sectors,
entail crucial provisions necessitating legal adjustments.
