AMMAN — Markets and shops in Ajloun witnessed high
turnout on Sunday, as citizens rushed to stock up ahead of Ramadan, the Jordan
News Agency, Petra, reported.

Ajloun Governor Salman Al-Njada, who is also head of the
health and safety committee, said that the committee has completed all
preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, while inspections and field visits
to markets and commercial institutions have been intensified to ensure the
availability of all residents’ needs.
He called on residents to avoid crowding, especially in
light of the current health conditions, to remain safe and protect the health
of others, according to Petra.
Al-Njada told Petra that the field visits included consumer
and military markets, to ensure adequate supply and stock and compliance with
set prices.
