AMMAN — Mercury levels on Tuesday are expected to be around their
annual average, so moderate weather will prevail in the highlands and the
plains, while it will be relatively hot in the Badia areas, and hot in the
Jordan Valley and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (
JMD) said in its
forecast.

A slight rise in temperatures is predicted on Wednesday, but
similar weather conditions will continue to persist until Thursday, with
northwesterly moderate to active winds at times, the JMD added.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the
Kingdom
today will range between 25°C and 29°C, dropping at night to 17°C or
even 12°C in the southern highlands, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In the city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury
reaching a high of 37°C and a low of 23°C.
