AMMAN — A special security force has
arrested the most “wanted” suspect in Jordan’s southern region; he was
classified as “dangerous and armed”, and was in hiding for years, the Jordan
News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Public Security Directorate spokesperson said in a
statement on Wednesday that an investigation team from the Anti-Narcotics
Department has been tracking down the suspect, and as a result of the
information collected, the team figured out the suspect’s movement, raided and
nabbed him in a vehicle in southern Ma’an governorate.
A firearm and several quantities of narcotic substances were
found in his possession, the official said.
