Police catch two men with guts full of cocaine at QAIA

AMMAN - Two foreigners have been arrested at the Queen Alia International Airport with almost two kilograms of cocaine hidden in their guts, a spokesman of the Public Security Department (PSD) announced on Thursday, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Anti-narcotics agents had already been tipped off about the smuggling attempt, the spokesman said, adding that the couriers were arrested as soon as they landed at QAIA.

Scanner images showed the narcotics hidden in the intestines of the two men, whose nationalities were not immediately made public, and were removed under a medical procedure, the spokesman said.

The amount extracted was estimated at 2 kilograms of cocaine. The PSD spokesman also said that the man, an Arab national, who was supposed to receive the contraband was also caught and now in police custody pending further legal action.
