AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate’s
Cybercrimes Unit warned of phishing links circulating online claiming
to be official links for applying for assistance for the poor, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Clicking on the links can result in one’s one being
hacked or one’s personal data being stolen, the unit said. They further warned
against circulating or interacting with such links to avoid falling victim to
the scams.
